The site combines years of field trials in corn, soybeans and alfalfa.

Illinois growers can obtain accurate and unbiased evaluations of insect control products and management strategies though the University of Illinois Insect Management and Insecticide Evaluation Program.

"Over the years, we have conducted numerous trials investigating management tactics for the control of insect pests in field corn, sweet corn, soybean and alfalfa," says Ron Estes, U of I senior research specialist in agriculture. "Every year, we summarize the data from these trials in an annual report published on our on Target website."

Not only does this website provide results from recently completed trials, but it also contains data summaries dating back to 2004.

"Our goal is to help growers make informed insect management decisions," Estes adds. "We are here to assist with management strategies and answer questions."

Estes says the team is always interested in conducting research trials with growers who are dealing with an insect pest in one of their fields.

Growers are encouraged to visit the "Feedback" section where they can provide their name and email address, along with any comments or suggestions they might have regarding the research program and the trials.
